July Product Empties: It's Giving Favoritess
Updated: Aug 10, 2023
What's up Dolls! I'm giving consistency. I hope you all have enjoyed the past few blog posts, but this one's going to be a bit different. I'm sitting down for the month of August so no trip overviews this month but I've still got something great. With all this traveling I've been doing, I've blown through a lot of my beauty products. So I decided to give you all a list of of my empties (empty products), my rating on each, and if I'd repurchase. There's a mixture of beauty and food products I've run out of so I'll be splitting my reviews into two categories: Food & Skincare.
Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.
Yet to be filled with His power and shine His glory requires an emptying–a pouring out of ourselves, to make room for Him

Food Faves:

Trader Joe's: Golden Caramel Swirl Icecream
Coming in real hot hot hot (it's cold but y'all feel me). This ice-cream is the 1 and not the 2 y'all no lie! I picked this up on a whim as you do when in Trader Joe's. My only regret is that I now have to pick this up whenever I go. Cookie Butter used to be my fav flavor but Miss Caramel Swirl may have knocked her down to #2. I would best describe this icecream as Rocky Road (which used to be my fav flavor as a kid) without the nuts!
Overall Score: 10/10
Repurchase: YES

Trader Joe's: Peach Cereal Bars
Not too much to say about these besides delicioso! I usually purchase the strawberry bars but saw these in stock and decided to give them a try, I liked these slightly better. Unfortunately I believe these are only sold seasonally as I didn't see them on my latest Trader trip. But I will be on the lookout for them next summer. If you're a fan of fig newtons these are similar.
Overall Score: 8/10
Repurchase: YES

Trader Joe's: Mini Cheesecake Cones
If you're on a diet or just health conscious my apologies just skip to the skincare portion chile. These cheesecake cones were cool or whatever. I'm a huge fan of cheesecake but surprisingly the filling wasn't the star of the show for me, it was the cone! Semi glad I'm not crazy over these though because the last thing I need is another Trader Joe's desert must have. I would recommend at least trying these out though as they're a fan fave on Tiktok right now! As you can see by the beat up box I bust these open in the parking lot to try out lol. #NoShameInMyGame
Overall Score: 7/10
Repurchase: Maybe
Skincare Empties:

Trader Joe's: Coconut Body Butter
I promise y'all this is not a Trader Joe's sponsored post, but let's manifest that @TraderJoes. This coconut body butter was clearly a fave, hence the scraped container. Super thick and moisturizing especially paired with the Trader Joes lemon grass body oil (Don't say I never put y'all on). This lotion will have you smelling like a coconut marshmallow it's a constant staple in my rotation of body care products.

Repurchase: YES

Glow Recipe: Watermelon Glow Toner+Dew Drops
I received these 2 mini Glow Recipe products as my free birthday gift from Sephora. First off I feel like these are the perfect sample size, a great way for me to try out the Glow Recipe brand without spending a cute coin. The pore-tight toner was just ok to me. I loved the scent, I really smelt the cactus extract, it reminded me of gypsy water by Byredo. I didn't however see any significant changes in my skin to cause me to purchase a full size of it. The dew drops are the girl everyone claims she is though! My skin looked significantly my glowy/hydrated after applying the dew drops and the watermelon scent was lovely. It's not a need so not sure if I'll purchase a full size at reg price
but if I ever catch it on sale, definitely copping.
Overall Score: Toner: 6/10 Dew Drops: 9/10

La Roche-Posay: Double Repair Moisturizer
This might be my favorite skin care product of all time! I used to have sensitive acne-prone skin and this (in conjunction with some derm prescribed products) has really transformed my skin barrier. I can't recall when I first discovered this moisturizer but I haven't looked back since. Its the same if not better than $50+ creams I've used in the past for only $20! I use the moisturizer with SPF 30 in the AM and the one without at night time. Simple but effective! You can find this moisturizer honestly anywhere (Target,CVS,etc.) however I'd cop it from Ulta so you can rack up some points.

Repurchase: YES

Laneige: Glowy Makeup Serum
The Laneige Glowy Makeup Serum is ultimate pretty girl privilege. She's lowkey, hasn't had much PR on socials but per a Sephora associate recommendation I bought it chile. I've had this serum for well over a year now and it's just now ending up on my empties list soo that's saying a lot. I don't hate it! But I don't love it :/ I feel it's similar to the Glow Recipe Dew Drops however the glow it provides is a lot less subtle. The dew drops are only about $5 more so I'd say save your coin on this one.
Overall Score: 6/10
