Southern Belle Summer

You think I'm just all tough and shhhh but the real Tari is so sweet. How could I not be you know that I'm an orange and a peach.

Soo iykyk I'm from Miami but since moving to Atlanta I've gained a good bit of southern hospitality. I decided to take my love for nature and fruit to Southern Belle Farm in McDonough, Georgia to soak up some of this summer sun.

I went for the strawberries but partook in way more the farm had to offer. We love an eventful summer day.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2).

The Darker The Berry

So I was enticed to visit the Southern Belle Farm because of the plump red strawberries I'd get to freshly pick. Upon entering I found that I could choose a "Berry Bundle" and pick a trifecta of berries so of course I had to double it! Starting off with the blueberries and blackberries. Now these vines were a little ran through so it took a bit of scanning but I was able to find some berries left that were ready to pick. My berry bundle to pick a gallon of blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries came up to $23.

The Final Straw-Berry

From a certified strawberry lover this was the real star of the show. I may or may not have consumed a fair share of strawberries while filling my bucket (caught red handed literally) but no shame in my game. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of picking the strawberries. They were extremely sweet, still wondering if they're organic or not, and they definitely make me not want to return to store bought. Pro tip pick the strawberries before your other berries as they're heavier and may crush a few of your other berries.

Flower Child

Next stop on the tour was the U-Pick Flower Field. Now I didn't purchase the flower package because my "green thumb" is more so pink but that didn't stop me from from going in and taking a couple pics. I can't tell you all the different types of flowers available but if you're a sunflower lover like me it's worth the venture in. Short Cake But My Money Long

Ended my visit at the on site bakery which may be the real star of the show. On the walk-in you're greeted into the country market with a plethora of fresh baked items, seasonal produce, and a bunch of other goodies. It took a lot of restraint to hold off on a treat until the end of my adventure (don't come here hungry) but good things come to those that wait chile. Amongst the fresh baked pound cake, homemade ice-cream and strawberry shortcake I didn't know what to choose. I definitely had to go with the shortcake though as it encompassed everything I wanted in one! As you can tell by the pic it was good or whatever. The desert consisted of a pound cake base, homemade ice-cream (flavor of your choice), fresh strawberries from the field, and topped with whipped cream! Yum.
