My 4-Step 4-Product: Fluffy Snatched Brow Routine

TariDoll

Some of the most asked questions I get when my brows are done are : Are they laminated, Do you have microblading, Is it natural?? Maybe it's Maybelline (LOL JK)

But honestly if I don't do anything else cosmetically before I leave the house my brows will be filled and the edges will be swooped. I've always had semi sparse brows especially at the tail so I've been filling in my brows for a very long time now. It's been a long period of trial and error with technique and product usage but I've finally found and perfected my holy grail brow routine! To my high school self with too dark brows filled in with a hair store pencil and no concealer: Sorry it took me so long mama <3

If you want to know how to achieve fluffy snatched brows let's get into it!

Product List

1) Eyebrow Pencil: My current fave is surprisingly the SHEGLAM Insta-fill Brow Pencil in Dark Brown. I received this pencil in a goodie bag of makeup products at an event I attended about a year ago and it's been my go to ever since. What I like the most about this pencil is the micro slim tip that provides the perfect hairlike strokes when filling in your brows. If you're not a fan of the SheIn's shipping times I think the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil is a great in store alternative!

2) Brow Glue: Me and Nyx Brow Glue go together real bad! This "glue" is what gives my brows the laminated/snatched look before I even fill them in. If you have naturally thick eyebrows this is a great product to use alone for a quick brow look. I prefer to use the clear glue since I fill my brows in but it comes in an array of colors to provide a quick tint. The only con I have on this product is that it actually smells a bit like glue but the hold it gives definitely outweighs the smell for me!

3) Concealer: My concealer of choice is dependent on whether I'm going full face of makeup or not. But my top two concealers are the Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer (for full face days) and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (only brows days). The Elf concealer is a lot thicker which is why I prefer to use it when wearing a full face of makeup. It's so easy to drag down the remaining product onto my eyelids and use it as a base or primer for my eyeshadow! The NARS concealer is great for no makeup days as it's a bit thinner and provides a natural highlight under my brow.

4) Concealer Brush: My favorite brush to conceal my brows is the Ruby Kisses Makeup Concealer Brush. I've used high and low end products and tools throughout the years and this brush has remained a constant in my routine. The oval tip of the brush allows me to get the perfect curve for my eyebrow arch, it's less than $5 and has a pink handle??! Yeah we're locked in and ain't no switching up.

Step 1: Brush & "Laminate"

  • Take the spoolie side of your eyebrow pencil (the brush side) and brush your eyebrows upwards and out toward your hairline

  • Take your brow glue and brush it through your brows thoroughly

    • Make sure all of your brow hairs are coated so they're snatched and tacky

    • Let the product sit for a minute before to ensure the brow glue is settled onto the brow hairs

Step 2: Line & Flick Till Fleek

  • Take your eyebrow pencil and lightly trace the bottom of your brow starting from the middle of your brow and follow your natural brow arch to the tail of your eyebrow

    • Use a very light hand when tracing to ensure the brow still looks natural

  • For the front of your brow make light flicking motions to fill in rather than coloring in

    • The flicking motion helps to mimic your front brow hairs

  • For the top of your brow complete the same faint line as you did for the bottom but draw a line from your longest end brow hair downward to connect to the tail of your brow

  • Fill in any remaining sparse areas in your brow with the same flicking motion used for the front of your brow

Step 3: Conceal & Blend

  • First Brush Brush Brush your lashes with your spoolie again! The key to fluffy brows it to brush between each step

  • Take your concealer of choice and place some onto your brush!

    • Sometimes I'll take the concealer brush applicator and place the concealer directly under my brow but I find it more precise to place directly onto the concealer brush

  • Trace very closely JUST underneath the outlining of your brow to clean up any crooked lines or extra product around your brows

    • This is my fav step because if I happened to overdraw my brows or messed up outlining in any way I'm able to trace the concealer over it and thin out my brows perfectly!

  • I don't place any extra concealer on my brush to outline the top so whatever product is left on my brush from outlining the bottom is what I use for the top. Repeat the same steps as the bottom as far as outlining, the top usually has less that needs to be concealed

    • Little to no concealer on the top decreases your chances of having "halo brows" and gives the natural brow look we're going for!

  • Tap concealer into your skin with your finger to get rid of any harsh lines around your brow and make it look seamless

Step 4: Glue It Downn

  • Congrats girly your brows should look great now!! But we've got to make sure they stay snatched all day so we're gonna take our Brow Glue once more and glue it downnn

  • Let the brow glue settle and brush through once more to reveal your fluffy snatched brows
